WHAT IS CBD?
CBD stands for cannabidiol. It is the second most prevalent of the active ingredients of the cannabis plant (marijuana). While CBD is a component of marijuana (one of hundreds), by itself, it does not cause a "high." The WHO reported, "In humans, CBD exhibits no effects indicative of any abuse or dependence potential. To date, there is no evidence of public health-related problems associated with the use of pure CBD." It is 100% legal in every US state. In a recent Gallup poll, 64% of US adults said they were familiar with CBD or CBD products. A survey in 2020 found that one-third of Americans have used CBD.
