I’ve spent over forty years in retail, liquidation, and closeouts—building businesses, rescuing failing ones, and scaling teams from the ground up. At one point, I launched six stores and led eighty staff in under a year. I’ve seen companies on the brink of collapse, and I’ve walked them back into stability. My experience isn’t theory—it’s built from scars, lessons, and victories earned under pressure.
My approach is simple: turn chaos into order, numbers into clarity, and crisis into strategy. I believe turnarounds don’t fail for lack of strategy—they fail for lack of leadership. Cueva de Machos - The Man Cave
From a single liquidation experiment to a full retail chain, I launched and scaled Cueva de Machos (CDM) in Panama into six stores with over 80 employees in less than a year. Alongside it, Cueva de Tesoros (CDT) became a showcase for U.S. closeouts from Home Depot, Target, and Walgreens, blending physical retail with e-commerce. My role was end-to-end: strategy, sourcing, logistics, staffing, and growth. These projects proved that with the right leadership, even chaos can be turned into profitable, scalable order.
Home Depot's Covid Problem
During the Covid supply chain crisis, I led the liquidation of over 350 containers of Home Depot merchandise into 26 countries in under four months. The project required rapid negotiation, global logistics coordination, and creative placement of goods into diverse markets. What could have been a costly backlog became a worldwide distribution success. This experience reinforced one of my core principles: with the right strategy, even surplus can be transformed into global opportunity.
